In the first match, Multan Sultans defeated Lahore Qalandars by 7 wickets. Batting first at the Hanif Mohammad Regional Cricket Academy Ground of the National Stadium, Lahore Qalandars scored 181 for 4 in the allotted 20 overs, opener Tom Abel could score only 9 runs, Ben Dunk played an aggressive innings of 42 off 26 balls, Fakhr Zaman scored 39. Quetta Gladiators Vs Peshawar Zalmi
In the second practice match of PSL 6, Quetta Gladiators defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 23 runs. Batting first in the floodlit match at the National Stadium, Quetta Gladiators added 280 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Azam Khan played an excellent innings of 69 off 42 balls with the help of 7 fours and 3 sixes.
Former Test captain Sarfraz Ahmed scored 41 off 34 balls while Usman Khan scored 33 off 16 balls without being dismissed. Muhammad Nawaz scored 20, Saeem Ayub 8 and Cameron Delport 7 runs.
Mohammad Imran, Saqib Mahmood Mujeeb-ur-Rehman and Ameed Asif took one wicket each for Peshawar Zalmai. In reply, Peshawar Zalmi’s team scored 157 runs. Haider Ali scored 52 and captain Wahab Riaz 46, Zahid Mahmood took three wickets.
Islamabad United Vs Karachi Kings
Islamabad United defeated defending champions Karachi Kings in a practice match.
Karachi’s 193-run target was scored by Islamabad in the 15th over. For Islamabad United, Asif Ali hit 54 off 22 balls, captain Shadab Khan 55 off 23 balls and Rohail Nazir 18 off 18 balls. Wasim Jr. bowled well for Islamabad United, dismissing four wickets for 21 runs.
